Laguna Beach USD - LBHS Pool Mod

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Laguna Beach Unified School District of Orange County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as “DISTRICT,” has determined that all bidders for the LBHS Pool Modernization (“Project”) must be prequalified in accordance with Public Contract Code section 20111.6 in order to submit a bid on the Project. All contractors must submit a fully completed and sealed Questionnaire Package to the DISTRICT by the date and time indicated herein.

PREQUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE PACKAGE DEADLINE: 5:00 p.m. on the 15th day of October, 2025

PLACE OF PREQUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE RECEIPT:
Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6, only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for this Project. A bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be non-responsive and returned unopened to the bidder. For a bidder to be Project does not exceed the contractor’s prequalified bid amount which is equal to fifty percent (50%) of the contractor’s bonding capacity. The prequalification process will be facilitated by an independent firm using an online application website. The web site address for online applications is https://www.qualitybidders.com/. The District requires prequalification of all prime bidders and MEP subcontractors via Quality Bidders. All bidding prime contractors listed by Bid Package in this advertisement are required to be prequalified except for Bid Package “A” Survey, which only needs to have a valid PLS license. Also, all MEP subcontractors to a bidding Prime Contractor that will be performing mechanical, electrical or plumbing work requiring a C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 license must be prequalified. A list of prequalified contractors will be made available by the District through the Public Planroom located at https://www.crispplanroom.com/jobs/public to all bidders at least five business days prior to the bid opening date. The DISTRICT will conduct two (2) voluntary informational conferences on November 04, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. and November 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the project site located at 670 Park Avenue, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.

If any bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Project Documents, or finds discrepancies in or omissions from the Project Documents, a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof must be submitted to the DISTRICT on or before November 26, 2025 by 5:00 P.M. No requests shall be considered after this time.
